Earlier today, we headed over to the local calcio (soccer) game, SPAL vs. Lucchese. SPAL, of course, won! It wasn’t an intense game, but the crowd certainly was. There are definitely no fans for any sports in America that could rival the local SPAL fans – they sang the entire game. Literally. And there were constant whistles against the referees and the Lucchese team (whistling in Italian sports is derogatory). I enjoyed it greatly – it’s a good end to my teenage years. (taken 9.28.2014)
