This past week, CIEE headed down to the South of Italy for a five day weekend.  We went down to see sites such as the Amalfi Coast, Caserta, Sorrento, Pompei, Napoli and other areas.  We started our journey in Ferrara, taking the train to Bologna and then headed to Salerno.  The train ride from Bologna to Salerno took about four hours, stopping at Roma and Napoli as well as a few smaller stations.  It was my first time to officially ride a real train (that 25 minute transfer from Baltimore to Washington D.C. last year does not count).  As you can tell, I got a window seat, and while I did sleep for part of the trip, I did enjoy the view.  (taken 1.10.2014)
