That same day as Pompei, Hillary and I went to Ercolano (because we got the special pass that let us go to all five sites but we only went to these two).  We had to rush to Ercolano on the metro because we needed to get there before they closed the entrance gates – we got there with only a few minutes to spare.  Ercolano was a little bit disappointing this time just because we didn’t have any information on it.  The desk had run out of information panels, and there weren’t any inside of the walls.  But it was very empty as well, so we roamed all over, and I got to see some areas were excavations are going on.  And the sunset, il tramonto, at the end was so worth going.  We also had a very delicious pizza afterwards.  (taken 5.1.2015)
