We then went to another castle, Castello di Castiglione, which was stunning as well.  What was very impressive was that each house had it’s own nativity scene outside the doorway.  They were all different, made of all sorts of material – wood, recyclables, clay – you name it, they probably had it.  But it was very beautiful – I had never seen a small town do something like that before.

And then we parted ways, heading north away from Arcevia.  But it was such a fantastic experience – there are no words that can ever adequately explain the feelings.  It is my fondest memory of Italia so far and will probably continue to be so.  If I lived anywhere in Italia, it would probably be in Arcevia, with the beautiful fields and sunsets against the hazy mountains.  Absolutely breathtaking.  (taken 26.12.2014)
