So Murano is known for its glass-making.  At one time all the glass-makers were located on Venezia, but they were moved to Murano for either secrecy (for their secret glass formula) or protection for the town (where the furnaces kept catching things on fire).  But Murano is on of the oldest, and still in business, places of glass-blowing, which we all got to try.  I got to blow glass, and it was amazing!  It takes a lot of breath but it was awesome.  Anyways, while we were there, they made a vase and this horse in less than ten minutes – it was so amazing how they created such works of art in such little time.  Murano was, by far, my favorite part on the trip.  (taken 14.11.2014)
