So Venezia has pretty cool windows.  I love how most of them have old wooden shutters with chipped paint – it really gives the city a unique feel.  The last window (photo 3) is on a building from Marco Polo’s time, way back in the day and is surrounded by streets named after things dealing with Polo.  It was so sad because our guide asked us who Marco Polo was, and I was the only person who knew the answer (or wasn’t afraid to say something).  It’s said because I’ve never actually studied him but I do know who he was.  (taken 14.11.2014)
