To begin my series of blog posts on Venezia, which I visited last Friday, I start with a picture of peppers.  Just because it looks pretty cool.  But it’s also a standard thing here to buys peppers in smaller bundles like this, and then just to pop one into whatever dish your making (if it calls for a pepper) and let it simmer.  I found a pepper once in my food – it was whole – apparently it means good luck when you find the pepper.  (taken 14.11.2014)
