Last weekend, I decided to head into the depths of Ferrara and visit a museum, il Museo Archeologico Nazionale located in il Palazzo Costabili.  This museum is about an ancient city, Spina, that is close to Ferrara.  While I probably will not go back again, it was very interesting to see.  The pottery was beautiful, black and tan, as in the movies, and the jewelery was stunning.  They had bracelets and necklaces just full of amber beads, and there were even two gold leaf headdresses.  Afterwards, I headed out to the gardens, which I’m sure look a lot better in the summer when everything is in bloom.  I was going to sit out there awhile, but unfortunately there were still mosquitoes.  (taken 31.10.2014)
