One of the almost nightly events that my host family partakes in is called una passeggiata, a walk in the town.  These picture are from one of said walks but rather than going through the town, we instead circled around outside the walls of the town.  I don’t know if I mentioned this yet, but Ferrara is a walled-city, and those ancient walls are relatively intact.  There is a path that circles around the wall, which is where we were.  We stopped by una gelateria for some gelato on our way back.  As you can see, I received a little mini cone on my gelato – a phenomenon that seems to be common in Italy, since it has happened to me multiple times.  (taken 9.11.2014)
